OPERATIONAL SPECIALIST


Walworth County Metropolitan Sewerage District (WalCoMet) is responsible for

safeguarding public health, protecting the natural environment, and conserving the

limited resource of water. The organizational focus is on the collection and treatment of

residential and industrial wastewater generated in several Walworth County communities.

Staff and leadership are proud of their roles as environmental stewards.


WalCoMet is offering the unique opportunity to join the team as the Operational Specialist.

This is a newly created position offering a dynamic work environment. The successful candidate

will split time between collecting, evaluating, and trending plant performance data and

analyzing samples in the laboratory. This position will also be expected to assist on

geographic information system mapping and asset management program administration

and updating, industrial pretreatment compliance program, as well as work on special

projects when additional resources are required.


This position requires availability on select nights, weekends, and holidays. The

individual filling this position is required to have a valid driver’s license and will be

expected to obtain Wisconsin DNR Basic General Wastewater and Basic Collection

Systems certifications within 12 months of hire.
